Who: Artist Lina Hawkins

When: May 17 – June 15, 2019

What: Lena Hawkins is an artist based in Brooklyn working across mediums. Through paintings – both intimate watercolors and large scale murals, graphics and print, and tattooing – Hawkins explores the extramundane and the mysterious realms that exist on the edges of our rational understanding of the world. With GATEWAY, Hawkins paints the portals through which we enter other realms and with Ries explores how transforming lighting and color can affect our perception.
